Going to court for splashing kids with a puddle...
« on: October 14, 2009 - 11:53:14 AM »
No, not me, but this:

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/5/20091014/video/vuk-driver-charged-for-splashing-school-37e89e1.html

How ridiculously sad. I watched the video and laughed. Yes, it's mean - but who hasn't wanted to do that?? :violin: :smilielol:

Seems like a real shi!!y thing to do.  I have no problem if they get nailed for it.  What kind of jack hole goes around nailing little kids like that?  They are now soaked to the bone, and have to go through the whole day like that.

I think it's how you look at it. I assumed they were waiting to go HOME from school. But that's a good point - if they were waiting there in the morning to go to school, that's a pretty awful thing to do. But court and a fine? That's just pathetic. It's another one of those stupid laws that are constantly being invented in this Country - that's my problem with it.

Not only stupid, yes most of us have thought about doing it, but very dangerous as well, she could have lost control of the car and hit someone.  :screwy:

It might be funny in a movie but not in real life. If I were dropping my kid off at the bus and saw that happen I would probably follow the guy down and have a talk with him.

Frankly, I can't say I've ever thought about doing it to innocent bystanders.  That's just plain thoughtless.  I think a fine for her and her videotaping buddy both are entirely appropriate.

And I think Brent is being polite - because if it was my kid, I don't think that we'd be having a "talk."  Unless you think shoving a foot up someone's @$$ is "talking."  >:(   :swear:  :aarg:  :horse:

Common sense tells me not to stand next to a street puddle.

If we want to start policing courtesy, lets start with cell phone use and the reckless golf cart driving at the Nats.

My oldest daughter just started taking the bus this year and if that had happened to her, I would not call the police.  I would take the driver's face and hold it under water in the puddle that she splashed the kids with.  Too many friggin idiots in this world.

What if the car hydroplaned?  The kids could have potentially been hit by the car, never mind the water.  :screwy:

Our there really adults that would do this on purpose?  They are functioning at a 7 year olds mental capacity.  What's next, throw a beer bottle at them?
