Looks real nice!
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

That paint looks really nice.

I see that you painted over the door latch.  Are you planning on taking it out and cleaning all the paint off of it?  On my car, one of the screws was covered by the door sticker so I had to remove it to get the door latch out.  I'll have to have a new one made at ESC.

I'll probably get as much off the latch mechanism as I can, but leave the screws alone. If I had known Mr. Painter man wasn't going to mask them, I would have done it myself. My door sticker was PERFECT before paint, but that's another story.

Wow   :woo:  that looks nice. I am still working on my color choice. I have looked at the blues, but there are many differences in the B 3, B 5, and B 7 colors. I was looking at the 1970 through 1974, and they all vary a bit. PPG codes indicate their differnt also. Love your choice! :2thumbs:

Well, it's not exactly my choice. The paint I got for under the hood (Martin Senour) was exactly as I expected, but the Omni that went on the outside came up too light. I think it's 1969-70 B5 as opposed to 71-73 B5 like it was supposed to be.

The local guy who mixed it said that Omni does NOT guarantee color match like PPG does. The Omni was $100/gal. vs. over $300 for the "good stuff".

Took new pics today...will post later tonight.

New Pics! I need to take better ones with better lighting (lots of trees with 4 o'clock sunlight) and maybe mess with my camera settings. I've gotten much sharper pics in the past.

I bought a pint of the 1973  B 3 Basin street Blue from PPG, just to see how it looked. It looked too much baby blue for me, but that rascal cost me $111 for just a pint. :eek2: Cant be experimenting too much.

That looks like the same B5 blue that came on my '73 Duster - almost looks purple in certain lighting conditions.
