well 69bronzeT5 I honestly dont think posting a thread trying to help out of members here is worthless. Sorry you feel that way

I don't think the thread is worthless....I'm just joking around with that smilie. All I was saying was I'd like to see pictures of the cars ;)

I think I have what your looking for? Jason It's about 3" wide its thinner gauge metal right?
It's called rear cross member. It's the piece that goes between the bumper and the rear frame rails under the tail light panel. The bumper bracket bolts go through it and bolt to the end of the frame rails(i'll be needing them too,or I'll have to try and make some). The crosmember also has "extensions" on each end. I think the rear valance hangs from it.

Some of you wanted to see pics of the underside of my 71 barracuda's roof.

You can see the original brown paint overspray with glue sprayed for the headliner pad. Notice how clean the steel is along with those spot welds!

these are older pics of the car in storage.
when I get her out I can take closer up pics of the ink stamp.

I will post the only pic of it I have now next.

Pic of the Ink stamp ( 'USS' Steel )  right next to the center light brace.

*for larger viewing you can drag the pic with your mouse to your desktop;
 then click on that pic to then zoom in.

On each side where the seat belts come up from the floor, beneath the carpet were plastic pieces whre the seatbelts were fastened to the floor.   I think Im right about this.  Do you have them?  Or seatbacks, or front windshield?

do you still have the steel plate that is welded to the top of the inner fender shock mount ? the brace is welded to the top of it.

Do you have the a pillars and the cross piece that goes on top between the a pillars? I don't know the correct name? I guess i need the entire structure around the windshield except the bottom cowl area.
