Gran Coupe
« on: October 16, 2009 - 05:51:26 PM »
A another E-body from the Netherlands. It's a Barracuda Gran Coupe with a 383 and a 4 speed pistol, matching numbers.

I bought the car 7 years ago and bring her to the bodyshop after 2 years.

After 2,5 years the car(body) was coming back to mine place. Compleet new

After 3 years doing nothing on the car, I'm starting today with some changings.

I buy some stuff from XV Motorsports and weld it, with a good frend of the bodyshop, on the car.
The car was finished, but I want to do this things, so they have to paint it again  :screwy:

Here are some pictures from today.

I Also buy a new Airco and heater compleet from Classic Auto Air.
For this I have to change also a cople of things.

looks like a huge Molotov cocktail in the first pic...

Yes, it was a peace of junk  :crying:
After 200 hours of welding and a lot of new sheetmetall there was a new body again.

Maybe this week or starting next week we will paint the car. :woohoo:

Are you adding frame connectors as well?  With all of the stiffening work you're doing, I'd think those would be on the list.

Frame connenctors are allready install on the Barracuda, see the picture.

Also welding the frames to the body. You see this also on race and rally cars. For street use is it also very good.
It's make the body a little bit stiffer.
That's really fun when you have a road with a lot of corners  :naughty:

I don't know. First I will put in the engine and interieur and drivetrain. After this the Barracuda will go back to the bodyshop.
