My wife got a flu shot (pregnant, works at a hospital) but my daughter and I got the newer "nasal" innoculation.
A drop of the flu virus is placed in your nasal cavity. As the drop is slowly absorbed, it gives the virus time to mutate, meaning that your body gets exposed to more variations of the flu strain, hopefully meaning a "wider kill".
I've gotten this the last two years and haven't been sick, so "knock on wood". Do we need an emoticon for that?
