Rear End Noise

Have a clutch-style Sure-Grip that was rebuilt last year. When I turn right, there is a light thumping noise. Is this a problem?
Also, any turns on gravel or loose pavement result in a lot of tire drag. Is the unit just too tight currently?

I think so...I'll have to check the cabinet.
If not, am I in trouble?
