Wider front track

Just a thought...can C body UCA and LCA's be used to widen the front track on an E body?

maybe , I think the upper arms are physically wider betweent he bushings & the lower definatly uses a larger pivot pin so the K frame would need to be modified

Not really.

But the quesiton is why?? E-bodies are proably the widest of all ponycars when comparing thier track width to wheelbases. And if you made them wider you'd have to flare the fenders. Try cramming 275/40/17 tires in the front of one and see if you want the track any wider. It's tough enough allready.

No worse than any other later model ride like a Viper or Vette.

A body lowers control arms are  longer than B/E arms. I think by 1/2" per side if I recall correctly. However, you would need to have custom uppers, or really long threaded heim joints, to get the camber back in a reasonable range.

True, the A-bodies are wider and you'd need the upper moved out to. Wouldn't be a bad idea to run an rod ended strut rod because the LCA would be moved out slightly.

But still the question is why do you want the wider track??

I think I saw a thread on ProTouring.com or something that was talking about long UCA and LCA's. A theoretical discusson, but not practical.

Well, it would allow a different offset on the wheels which could alter scrub radius a slight amount. But yes, not sure about the practical aspect of it.
