mirror question
« on: October 24, 2009 - 05:41:25 PM »
on a 70 Cuda what size screws, lenght and size, do they use? Also how do the mount?

I tried to mount mine today and there are no threads them to. I found a small extenede bolt down in the bottom of the door (lose) that looks like it presses into the door skin and the mirrors screw in to.  Does some one sell the bolts?

Thanks,

They are called rivnuts. It attaches like a rivet but you are left with a threaded barrel. It requires a rivnut tool but they aren't that expensive. I paid $30.

Thanks for the offer Barry, I may take you up on it.  I tried to order some Rivnuts and screws on R/T Specialties site, but I can't sign up for some reason, so I will call them on Monday.   :2thumbs:
