I used Manley valves.
#11381-8 Exh. 1.810 ( head dia)   .3415 ( 11/32 stems)     Stock 5.400 Long
#11380-8 Int. 2.190( head dia)     .3415( 11/32 stems)      Stock 5.344 Long
Lots of material came out of the ports,( under the valve) I roughed them out on a bridgeport first before I started porting them.

I sent the heads to T&D to get them fitted with roller rockers. Because of the longer length valves I had to go with the stand design rocker arm set up. I'm happy with them, quality stuff!  :2thumbs:  Not cheap though! :eek4:

I still have to machine down where the rocker stands were to fit them, and center the rocker patch. I haven't done that yet. The other head hasen't " caught up to" the other one yet. I've spent about 12 hours porting it so far and hope to get the valve seats in soon. I'm going to wait till both heads are finish machined with the valves before I fit the rockers. I'll be using a Lunati hyd roller and bee hive springs.    It's been a fun project so far though!

Almost done porting!  :eek4:  I've got about 20 hours into them . I did a lot of roughing out on the mill first, that did save some time! I removed about .150" off the roof of the ports. Gasket matched as well, both exhaust and intake, and the intake manifold as well.

All done and bolted on the engine.
T&D roller rockers are nice....I highly suggest them!  :2thumbs: I didn't have time to flow them to see what kinda numbers they flow, but they are what they are .

Just updating this post. If anyone is interested here is the engine build that these heads went onto.

Hi Neil, very interesting. These are the same blank stage VI heads that Chapman use to use to make those big horsepower heads they used to make. So it will be good to see some results, i have the same set as Brad and i have something a little more radical than what he did, but it will be much more machining and a lot of calculating, I love what Brad has got here, it is awesome. :2thumbs:
