that looks like your rear panel has been chopped up, headliner looks "off" in that area, kinda flat?
My edge has a nice curve to it, excuse the dust, in the storage basement over 2 years now! :-[ Rich.

A mouse got into my roof and there was no sign of anything there. Must have been turned into a nest :swear:. So I figure I'll make those filler pieces. Are those Challenger sail panel pieces just cardboard?

Correct me if I'm wrong but challenger does not use those card board inserts? I think that those are a cuda thing only and perhaps for SE challengers too. I asked the guy who sold the car to me and he was quite positive that all Challengers or was it 72 and up Challengers didn't have one, cant remember. I think that he should know what he is talking because he has owned and restored many Challengers & Cudas.

I don't remember any cardboard pieces in the 73 I took apart but that was a long time ago.

I realize there different cars, but that panel looks like the edge is gone, I'm sure the challenger has a smooth contour of some kind, not buckeled & chewed up like that????
someone post a pick of a done challe , I'd bet that line is smooth. Rich.

The Challenger doesn't have the separate cardboard sail panel like the Cuda does, but it does have some fiberboard under the headliner right behind the quarter windows. It feels like they stop about half way back to the window.  It may be too late, but don't put anymore shoulder belts, clips,  or coat hooks on the ceiling until you have all the edges pulled snug with out wrinkles.

I don't have a pic handy, but the panels in my car have a smooth contour. kmyles panels look like they have been subjected to excessive heat or something to cause the ripple.
