FS: 69 Superbee
« on: October 28, 2009 - 09:39:50 AM »
Hey guys - hate to do it, but I really need the $.

Selling my 69 Superbee project.

The car is an original Bee w/ fender tag and title in hand. Original motor gone - not sure if the 727 auto in it is the original, but will check.

I comes w/ a 440 short block.

it'll need new trunk and lower quarters. Frame rails are super solid, as well as the rockers. It will also need the rear dutchman panel replaced.

Year One repro lift-off hood included, as well as new pin kits and rear hood brackets.

Car is very complete, and all screws and items are bagged and tagged. Pretty much the only thing that's not with the car are the original interior door panels - they were trash.

bench seat car, auto.

I also have a set of MINT NOS side scoops that I bought - with templates to mount them - included w/ the car.

Right now it's in a storage facility, so I'll have pics this Saturday, sorry. The car is a roller right now, and front and rear glass is removed - front windshield is broken. Side windows and regulators still in place.

Again, all parts are bagged and tagged, so nothing's missing.

$4000

I'm in SE PA - above Philly, and below Allentown

Tons of pics in this thread:

http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=78737&page=2

Now, the fenders have been stripped, so that's why they look so bad - they are actually VERY straight and only the passenger side has a few small rust pin holes behind the wheel well - you can see in the one pic.  The passenger has surface rust, but nothing that can't be lightly sanded off in a couple minutes.  The driver has no rust.

The floors are very solid, they look orange, but the only holes are a few very small pin holes in the front passenger - right where it meets the trans tunnel - you can see in one pic.

I forgot to bring the trunk keys with me, so I'm sorry that I didn't get pics of inside.  However, the trunk and trunk extensions have holes and need to be replaced.  The deck lid is only lightly bolted to the hinges, that's why it's popped up by the springs in the back - the lid is straight w/ no rust.

The tail panel is solid as you can see - as is the rear frame crossmember behind the bumper.

The window channel in the rear will need to be replaced w/ a new dutchman panel or patchwork.  Really the corners and a few inches in are the worst.

The real beauty is underneath - you can see the frame rails are rock solid, and the undercarrige as a whole is very clean.

Engine compartment is rock solid.

The rear "C" pillar on the driver's side is NOT damaged, it's just been scrapped and stripped and looks ugly.  It's straight and there's no rust there.

Doors are solid w/ no rust, as are the rocker panels.

You can see in my attic are all the parts stripped off the car - labeled and bagged.  even the screws.  The cars complete except the underhood A/C components, front windshield (sorry, broke in transit), interior door panels, and radiator.

comes w/ extra instrument bezel core, and radiator support (the original, with vin stamp, is fine, but a little bent - can be straightened, but I got a nice straight one at a good price).

Comes with, but not limited to:

-front bench

-rear seat

-complete dash-tail lights

-dash harness

-seat belts

-440 HP block short block

-YO repro 6 pack hood

-MINT side scoops. NOS, but have been painted (have never even been drilled for the bezels)  I overpaid, but they cost me $1k

-screws, bolt, etc.

-interior heater - A/C box

-727 tranny

-8 3/4 rear - not sure what gears or if it open or not

-grille, headlight bezels

-window trim

-interior pillar trim

-sill covers

-dash pads & bezels

-tail panel

-side scoops and template

-etc, etc.

This car needs:

Trunk

trunk extensions

quarters (at least the lower half)

patchwork or replacement dutchman panel to fix the rear windshiled channel

VERY small pin hole repair to passenger front floor board

Pin hole repair on passenger fender behind wheel

various dings and prep work

Fender tag:

B3 car

white stripe

power brakes

light group

manual driver mirror

3 speed wipers

air w/ heat

AM 8 track

26in radiator

split bench w/ cloth and vinyl

$4000.00 takes it all.

Thanks - she doesn't look that pretty now, but it is a pretty solid car.  Sorry - I bought it as a running project about 6 years ago - don;t have too much history info other than the fact that I picked it up in Grand Rapids MI.  No old photos.
