NOS trim rings
« on: October 30, 2009 - 02:27:16 PM »
Do NOS trim rings usually have some dents / dings / dimples from the factory?

Only if they have been either used or thrown around or damaged in shipment.   :2cents:

A lot of NOS parts have some form of "shelf wear" but shouldn't have dents or dings if they have been handled properly.

Also, one thing to be aware of when you are dealing with any NOS part.  Just because it's NOS...doesn't mean it is going to fit.  If a certain part wasn't fitting at the factory, the part was usually boxed up and sold as a replacement part.  Also, our cars are over 35 years old.  They are not as straight and true as they once were.  Even an NOS part may need some work to fit.
