removing E-brake

i have a broken stud on the firewallside of the E- brake but don't know how to remove the cable :pullinghair:. i have all the body mounted bolts off and undid the clamp on the wire housing at the back. what am i missing ???. or do i need to remove including the cable :dunno: oh it's for a 70 cuda if that helps

I leave the cable attached to the pedal & remove both as a unit & remove the cable from the pedal on the bench if you need to remove it at all
