Best buy your V8 soon.....
« on: November 04, 2009 - 02:51:27 PM »

Fiat has plans to replace most of Chrysler's engines with its own. Paolo Ferrero, senior vice president of powertrain, said the number of Chrysler-designed engines will drop to 12 percent by 2014 from 84 percent currently, with many larger engines replaced by smaller, four-cylinder ones.

I hope this will not be forever I hate to hear it but they needed to work on the fuel mileage issuses a long time ago and could have done something to make them do better in my opinion.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

V8`s will still be available in trucks and certain models but Chrysler does need to be more competitive in the fuel economy classes so hopefully that is a good move.

Did you watch the presentation or read through any of the slides?

We are getting a BIGGER Hemi.  The 6.4 Hemi with 450+ HP is replacing the 6.1 in the next year and will be debuting in the Challenger.

Man I was checking out a decked out SRT8 on the way home today. It had everything I could want except HID headlights. It stickered at 46k. I was choking on that when I looked over and saw one of the dreaded "Excessive Dealer Profit" stickers that put the total up to 51k+   :scared:  I ran away  :smilielol:
