I have 2 sets of rear door panels and they are in good condition, but I want to buy a complete set of new fronts and backs. I'll probably just go through legendary because my dad is a legendary dealer

The palco/accuform panels that they have are not even close to an OE texture. I would not mix as it will look very bad. I have a set of palco panels in stock. Compared to the new panels not comparison

I will be the first to admit the 1st set of challenger door panels we got from legendary a few years ago were not even close with grain, however subsequent sets have been much better these last couple years.

I dont have an issue going with a complete set from my dad because I get a great deal and they are much better then their old ones they used to have when they first started making the reproductions. However it does look like the new panels in this thread are def closer in correct grain and feel.

When i was at SEMA last year Palco had a display with their cuda door panels, and they were terrible! I could see the grain was wrong from at least 20 feet away. They felt cheap in my hands, and the back looked like crap (although you can't see the back of the panels once installed). I know a lot of folks use them and are happy with them and thats fine. But for me I'll wait for the complete set in white for the Challenger hardtop.

I'm sorry, when I said that I wouldn't buy 1/2 an interior from Legendary, I didn't know that they sold door panels at all. I was talking about seat covers.  I meant that I wouldn't buy front seat covers from one vendor without getting the whole set, front and rear seat covers at the same time.

This is why I'm waiting for the full set of door and rear panels from Dave's supplier.

A lot of people don't want to just buy the fronts.  They are waiting to buy fronts/rears together.  The problem is that the rears won't get made if the fronts don't sell well.
Well, I helped the cause.   My new fronts look so much better than the old ones did......they dont match the rears, since therears are painted and (now) look scrappy.  Would have preferred to know the rears are ready to go too...

My meaning was in reference to the fact that they may or may not make rear panels. It does me no good to get top notch fronts and have to live with dyed old rear panels. I want to do the whole interior, not just half. I am holding out hope that they will make entire sets of Challenger panels though.

Well then what is the latest status on the rears being made for the Cuda?

:iagree:  I helped the cause too.  Took a drive to Roseville & picked up a black pair last week.  They are awesome!  But...when I set them beside the nice original rear panels I picked up last year to see how they matched I had a problem...my nice original rears were challenger panels.  WHAT WAS I THINKING.
So now I'm waiting for the rears to be made.  My interior was white...now it's half and half.
The new panels fit great.  I had to shave a little around the hole for the window crank on the passenger side but other than that they just screwed right in.  I love them!
Dave...let me know when the rears are available and save me a pair.

I just bought a set of the new panels and they look GREAT! Is there any word of doing seat backs and kick panels? I will wait to buy if they do.

Who makes the seat backs?  Are they a good match for the Metro Door panels?

Who makes the seat backs?  Are they a good match for the Metro Door panels?

We manufactured the seat backs, as with the door panels, they are injected molded and the grain is near perfect.  I say near perfect since you're not allowed to say perfect.  I have installed 5 sets of the seat backs on my ebodies and a customer on 4 sets of Cuda door panels, they don't get any better.

As a manufacturer, I know what it takes to make a piece as large as the door panels and they hit the nail on the head.
