Thanks...

I didn't think that would cause it to not turn over, but wanted to check...

I'm getting 12v at the yellow wire now, but it's still not turning. I think it's the relay...

I should be able to ground the neutral safety switch lug, then jumper the hot post to the yellow wire lug to check it, correct ?

That would check it. You could also ground the nss lug and the use the ignition switch to supply the 12v, to prove out the ign switch and wiring as well if it passes the first test. :2cents:

Woo Hoo... that was it... replace the starter relay and it fired right up...

But, I'm still only getting 11.9 at the battery with it running...

At 11.9v at the battery with it running, you have a little more electrical work to do... :swear:
Check out Shadango's thread called '16.4 v at the battery'. It's the opposite problem voltage wise, but all the advise from quagmire is excellent to help understand the charging circuit.

Hey ! Just wanted to thank everyone... replaced the voltage regulator today and I'm charging, 13.5 at idle

Couldn't have done it without you guys !
