As Barry knows already, I was up late last night putting my car's actual broadcast sheet together. It was on top of the glove box liner. Well, sort of.
The first clue that it was there were very small (1/8" size) pieces in the glove box from a mouse nest that I was pulling out from above the box. The pieces got bigger and bigger (if you call thumbnail size big). Once I removed the liner, I got most of the top section, including a perfectly intact piece with the entire VIN. The bottom portion was actually behind the box smashed against the A/C. The middle section was in lots of pieces in a large mouse nest under the dash between two A/C ducts. All told, the sheet was in about 100 pieces. I have it about 90% reassembled. The other broadcast I found was an invaluable reference in re-assembly.
I have some books on order, but if anyone can help me decode my engine and carb, I'd really appreciate it. They are:
Line 4
------
Engine : 089
Carb: 62
fwiw, the numbers for engine and carb respectively for the other sheet I found are 087 and 36.
My broadcast also has grease-pencil marks on it and items circled in ink. The other one I found behind the seat for another car was clean.
And, does anyone know of an online resource for decoding ? I found this one for Chargers:
http://1970chargerregistry.com/Production/rt_sheet_decoder.htmlI just would like one for Challengers/Cudas.
Thanks for the help everyone. This was a lot of fun.
