The new purchase in the garage 72 roadrunner 340 my first B-body
« on: November 16, 2009 - 11:38:12 PM »
So i saw the ad I'm not really into B bodies a 72 Road runner  original owner Stored since 1983 in the garage after he thought the rod bearing spun. I bought the sunday that same day tore the engine down to find the skirt on the bottom of the #4 piston broke off and a blown head gasket same cylinder. The motor and tranny were out of the car when I bought it. I call the owner to tell him the good news. He told me he was racing his brother when it happened. He pulled the motor and tranny out, had the tranny rebuilt and lost interest in the car. The trunk is full of parts a new cam ,headers, and other stuff. It's tor red with white interior. The trunk is flawless original spare It's a California Car. Old school sloted mags air shocks. The heads will be done friday my new pistons come tuesday 11/24/09, Should be on the road friday(oops thats the day we cut down our tree) looks like saturday. In stead of a turkey I brought home a RoadRunner (taste like chicken) I will post pictures soon.

:2thumbs: You see quite a few 71 models, but not 72's, I really like mine (not a real Roadrunner), and although the engine set up was not avalible in 72 mine is real  :roflsmiley: Congratulations, looking forward to seeing pics.
