Hi,

Same dimensions on mine on the back quarter. (70 Gran Coupe) Number three is out of alignment with the others.  There is no hole on the front of the quarter.  The rear stainless was held on by three plastic tabs and one bolt and nut at the front which inserts into the front hole on the quarter.  It did not wrap around into the door jamb.

Hope this helps.

:clueless:

Any second opinions.  I have learned to never say never when it comes to mopars.

Thanks,

Daniel

As you already know, 70's were exclusive to having holes for the top of the door trim. In late 70 or early 71, they started using the stud welded on top. Then the clips slid onto them. Once the trim is on, no one can tell if you drilled or studded.

I really feel these are the best way to go if you can get a stud weld gun. I did it to my P/S door already and also for the rocker trim.

It does MR291.  Thanks.

I looked at my trim today, it had been a while, and the rear quarter trim does not have the bolt, but the front ones do... :clueless:

Did it look like these?

I also test fit mine.  No holes yet though.  I think I will mount it so it goes close to the glass.

I was looking at my quarter window today and the third hole is offset due to the quarter window bracket.  If the hole wasn't offset, then the fastener would interfer with the bracket.

Thanks a bunch and will drill my holes soon.

Thanks so much for everyones response.  Now I just gotta get it done.

67vertman,

Identical to the stud and nut in the picture.
