Saw these pictures online.....

"Spun out on slick road, 45 Mph into guard rail in southern Michigan. 1971 440 Cuda"

Wow that is a hard hit, definitely salvageable though. Oh and its a 70 cuda (note the taillights and lack of fender gills).

Well there is a 73 fury in the back ground so guess it was some time back then. :bigsmile:

Yeah, looks like a pretty old photo.  Yellow tint (besides the Fury) gives it away.

Sad for sure, but that seems like extensive damage for only 45mph.  :dunno: , even though it was a cross blow, that would I think be the weakest structural angle.

I remember when they first came out there was an accident locally where a Cuda spun sideways into a light pole. The picture in the newspaper showed the front and back halves located about 40 feet apart from each other.

Since the rear axle is gone, maybe both it and the lower quarter panel were torn off?   :dunno:

In any event, by looking at the guys behind the car, you can tell this pic was from the early 70's by their long hair and the clothing.   :lol:
