Thanks for the replies,  I just installed the 499 in my barracuda today.  I may sell the 446 soon if anyone should need a good running engine minus the 6pk.  It's a 68 block with kb 237 pistons, eagle rods, stock standard bearing crank, 214/181 valves on 906 heads, and a comp xe275hl cam, new hemi pan, cloyles dbl true roller chain, and an hv pump. engine has around 2500 miles or less on it.  The engine has very good oil pressure hot or cold.  If interested, let me know. I also had hardend exhaust seats installed and guides in the heads.

2500     drop in and go.  Disributor is still in time :2thumbs:

No I didnt drive my car there. I hope to take it there this year though.   And the 499 is up and running now. I had the timing off a bunch and it popped through the car a couple of times, but the power valve seemed to of made it through ok. It is colling down now , then reset the valves, reset the timing and fix an oil leak at a valve cover.

If someone drove over to my shop this week, I'd consider selling the 446 engine with the factory 6pk on it for 1700 bucks. I will re freshen the paint on it before it leaves my shop

Yeah, the carbs are off, I used them on the 499, but I have a new intake gasket for the intake too. The engine mounts, dip stick, distributor, and intake go with it. But this is for this week John. By next week I will be raising the price back up.

I agree with Jason but having said that, if John does not snap it up I have a 3 day weekend and I will drive all the way to your house and back to get that dude. What a deal!  :scared:
