This is killing me...
Had to sell my beloved DeSoto to pay bills and loans, - no one wanna buy our house, - I’m unemployed – Could it get much worse.? YES..!!!
But I managed to stow away $20K to lighten up my life with a 4 speed MoPar..
Last Friday at 02.30 AM, my local time, I won an E-bay auction on an awesome little red 69 Cuda 340 / 4 speed.
My max. Was 17.000,- and I got it at 16.575,-
Then I know the shipping and fees is app. 2.000,-
And the import tax in Denmark on old cars (30 years) is 5% of it all, another 1000,-
Just my 20K – the 5.000,- to get it licensed in DK, I would have to handle later, just wanted it in the garage for now..
At 09.00 AM I call my shipper to arrange pick up and shipping, and then I transferred the 1000,- deposit to the seller.
THEN,
- at 02.00 PM my shipper call me to tell that the goverment just informed a change in the import tax, entered into force the day befored, from the 5% to - -37,5%...
I figured on tax at a 1000,- now they want 7.500 – I simply aint got that kind of money, and will have to call the seller to cancel the deal – my 1000 deposit probably lost.
This is killing me, - how bad can life turn for a person...
