Clutch Pedal Position

I am no expert on A833's so any help would be very much appreciated.  When I installed my trans and adjusted the clutch I noticed that the pedal sits higher than the brake pedal (by about an inch or so).  When I push down on it I feel the overcenter spring cross center and the pedal pops down to the level of the brake and will stay there.  I believe at this position, pressure is being applied to the throw out bearing and I shouldn't drive the car this way.  I don't see any way to adjust the point where the spring passes center.  Anyone know what's going on here?

Is the rubber stop still mounted on the underdash?  If it isnt, they are cheap and easy to install, then after that, you will need to readjust the clutch

you need to lenghten the adjuster under the car until the pedal pops up over center on the spring on its own , you would have to re-create the pedal to sit at a different angle & not ride on the release brg if you want the pedal to sit lower

i have the same deal..were can i find this stop?

there is an arm on the pedal that rests up against the pedal frame under the dash when the pedal is at the top the rubber stop is in the frame

I think R/T Specialties has the stops if yours is missing.

I have read that some folks discard the over-center spring if using a diaphragm type clutch. Apparently, the two fight each other.

The 3 finger Borg & Beck seems to be the clutch style of choice.

Also, on a power brake car, the pedals will not line up. With manual brakes, they should be even.

If you have power brakes, you will like the move from the gas pedal to brake pedal and back. You don't want your pedal high like a non PB car. Too much foot travel.

If you really want the pedal higher, you could make the link between the pedal a linkage longer.
