Resto pictures included - Sound deadening question
« on: November 25, 2009 - 03:31:06 PM »
Just a quick recap.  Included picture of car when I bought it and second picture is current status of what I have done to it so far.

Just finished sound deadening the car this afternoon (Floors, Ceiling, and Trunk).  I used B-Quiet extreme similar to Dynamat but much cheaper.  (Thanks guys for pictures of your firewall from previous post).

The 2 sound deadening pictures and question. - I have some B-Quiet left over should I use it on the section below the rear window where the speakers go?  Will it make any difference?  This is all new to me so any help is appreciated.

Oh....last picture is just mopar porn....

Hey it looks great Buddy  :2thumbs: my thought is YES use it every place you can Especially if you will be running speakers in that location.

Is that your new dart?

Hey it looks great Buddy  :  Is that your new dart?

Hi Scott!!  Great to hear from you.  Yeah.....that was the impulse buy this summer.  Found it in farm country.  Someone bought it and then reneged on the deal.  I happened to drive by and got it for a song.  Here are some pics.

Also, can you PM your phone number.  My computer was hit by a virus and it took out my hard drive.  I lost all my contact info.  Thanks.  I'm back working on the challenger and need to figure out what I am doing next.  Thanks.  John

Hi Jerry - Thanks.  It is a two tone paint job.  The bottom is Viper 2002 Graphite and the top is Viper Black 2002.

i'd apply the sound deadner as much as possible , I did not sure the difference since i never drove it with out. Nice Viper, any other pics?, what year etc, that's on my list as a project in future but i know little about them and particularily what to avoid, i'd like to get something 1995 or older since we get a break on the insurance because we can put them as 'speacial interest vehicles' ........thx...dk

Even small pieces of sound deadener will help. It is perfect in my opinion to do what you have, solid application but if you have small pieces left over do not throw them away, place them on inner door frames, quarter window frames, wherever door panels or whatever else will cover up. I plan to do my car like you have, weight be damned because I want it quiet inside too. Just use it all, a little bit of something is better than nothing at all. Great looking job on your Challenger btw   :2thumbs:
