I have a build sheet, but no fender tags. Previous owner threw them away, when he started making it a race car. He was a real piece of work. I am not real worried about it since I was looking for a non-original car, to do with as I pleased.

I found both fender tags in a coffee can in the trunk.  I was lucky to find them, but I got the biggest surprise from Barry Washington and the original owner, Pete Mclallen.  Barry called me and left a voice message telling me that Pete just attached the Monroni (Window Sticker) for my car on another web site for Dodge Challengers.  Now you all know that not all options are on the fender tags, but they are on the build sheet and window sticker.  I do not have a build sheet since there was no interior when I bought the car, but that doesn't matter anymore, thanks to Barry and Pete.

Pete and I have communicate only through email and he has sent me a lot of information from when he owned the car.  I am really glad, no tickled pink, that Pete saved all this stuff and after 40 years it's been reunited with the car.  Now if I could only find the original engine.

Neither one. Car had the wrong build sheet (sent to Barry) and threw the fender tag away  :faint:  because I didn't know any better back then (like that's changed much)
In 1979 my Dad and I threw the broadcast sheet for my 71 convertible away.  I probably would not have the fender tag if it wasn't attached to the car.  As you said no one knew better back then.  My other cars are hit and miss with tags and sheets.

My AAR has the fender tags and a partial broadcast sheet. My R/T has the fender tag
but had the wrong broadcast sheet, I was lucky and was able to trace both cars back to dealerships that sold them new.

70 was an LA built car and I feel VERY fortunate to have the broadcast sheet since there was not a fender tag. All body numbers match along with dash vin and door sticker.

71 conv. also did not have a fender tag but I did find a build sheet under the back seat AND behind the glove box. I still get all giggly when I think about it.  :bananasmi

I have the fender tag and when you ad together the parts the mice didn't get I have about 1.3 build sheets.
