From what I have seen, LA used both fonts, the thinner one and the same one as Hamtramck. In a conversation with CODY, he shared this fact and that cars with the thinner font are harder to "fake" things.  :2cents:

Thank you for the quick reply.  I did notice there was a possible discrepancy on the tag - my seats were not full vinyl , I had cloth inserts. I am assuming that all options could not be listed on the fender tag.
Thanks again for deciphering.
Also, did Mopar provide numbers of the cars that were painted specific colors back then?

Did you buy the car new?  Cause lots of things get changed.....  Cloth inserts would have coded as H5K4 & would look like this...

ahhh. I see.  Well I do like them.  I am thinking about keeping them id they can be repaired.  I have never seen these seat inserts  at any Mopar car shows.
I just wish my car was a different color. I m not really a fan of  burnt orange. That's a UT color.

Your car is very unique and i hope you put it back to the way it was from the factory.

If you do, you'll be blown away by all the compliments for doing so.

Stand out!
Don't be a yellow, green, orange, purple car. So many of those!

Actually I am considering putting it all back to original.  I painted it plumb crazy 22 years ago (back when I had the time to do such things) and at the last Mopar mini nats my daughter made a comment similar to the one you made about  "lots of purple cars" and she 's right.  Besides now I have a 2013 SRT8 that is plumb crazy purple she says what do I need another purple car for.
Luckily - I kept all of the original parts - including the seats so the return to original appearance would not be that hard although the original Am FM AMX radio got stolen on one of my transfers. I am trying to find one of those.

I have fender tag, broadcast sheets ( 3 in various conditions ), window sticker and many other items as I am the original owner of my 72 Cuda 340. There is one item which I have that I've never seen mentioned in any of the Mopar websites that this discussion has come up in. It is heavy card stock, 9.5" X 13", printed both sides and
titled CAR CONDITIONING. It appears to be a defect or inspection sheet. It was found two years ago when I had the interior redone with new carpet and seat covers. Anyone else have one or know of them?

Yep, found mine on top of the glove box.  Apparently it has ridden there it's whole life.  When I owned the car the first time ('79-'83) I had always thought the front left fender had been wrecked and replaced.  However, this sheet shows that the same fender was caught and replaced at the factory.  The fender has a white stenciled part number on the under side.

Your sheet is formatted differently than mine but it has the same information on it. Apparently my Cuda had a paint problem that was corrected, best I can tell from the markings on the card.
