4.4. pints is capacity.
buy 3 bottles, fill it till its just below the hole.
you'll have quite a bit left over.

I called the Ring and Pinion shop by me and they suggested no-synth 80-90w with the posi additive. I got my additive from GM for $12.

Don't know, but since that is all they do for a living, I just decided to go with their recommendation.

more than likely they recommend regular and not syn for the gear breakin period since they install new gears, just like an engine

I've also found that synthetic leaks easier - probably because it's more "slippery"

I dont think there is anything wrong with using full synthetic oil but get the additive anyway. I was under the impression that I did not need the additive when using full syn oil. Nothing wrong with what I had in there I just thought I would treat my 3.23 sure grip to a nice drink of "better" oil. 3 months or so later my sure grip pig was junk. Dyno with additive is what I will do from now on. Why spend the money on synthetic when you still have to get the additive anyway?
