What's it worth '70 Challenger - Opinions please!

I just bought a VERY NICE 70 Challenger.  It's an R/T look-a-like, all badging, bulge hood, 15 x 7 Rallyes, new tires, (real) T/A exhaust, 318/904 with column shift, beautiful paint and interior.  Engine bay needs cleaned up to be show worthy.  Oh, and it's a 2 owner car that's only got 38k (not verifiable but to look at the car, you'd believe it).  Overall, it's a beautiful driver that with a little elbow grease could be a show car.  I'm starting to wonder if I overpaid so once I hear some opinions, I'll tell you what I paid.  Let's hear it!!!

Thanks!  The pictures really don't do it justice.  It's VERY nice with a great original interior.  Again, supposedly only 38k miles.

In todays market I would have to say about $10-12K.  Sorry but the prices of a few tears ago were over inflated.

Every 70 challenger in that condition you find for 10-12k you let me know and I'll go pick them up, because I haven't seen any that cheap. My guess would be it would be worth close to 20k, the only thing I see hurting it is the 318/904 combo, which is really easy to fix.

Without more pics I would have to say $15K to $20K as a broad range.  Anything over 20K I would say was over spent without a big block, and under 15K would be a good deal.  However, you're doing yourself a disservice trying to found out if you might have overpaid.  The bottom line is you saw a car you must have really liked and wanted, and you paid what you thought was a fair price, so why go through the chance of beating yourself up?  Drive it, enjoy it, and who cares if you got a great deal or not.

That is an excellent point and I very much appreciate you bringing it up!  I've wanted another Challenger for about 15 years now and have finally put myself into a position to be able to afford one.  I found one that I liked and pulled the trigger.  I plan to enjoy the car!!!

By the way, I paid ~ $18k so it seems like I got a fair deal....maybe not great, but fair.
