Stupid Heater
« on: December 04, 2009 - 07:09:08 PM »
I had to put off my elk hunt an extra day because my heating/cooling unit has not wanted to work the last few days. Now normally it would not be a big deal but we have had pretty cold weather and about 8-10 inches of snow which is a lot for us. Needless to say I burned through what was left of my wood too lol. After all was said and done it was a dirty flame sensor that was keeping the furnace from firing up. It looked fine which is why I did not pay much attention to it. I had the gas tubes off, checked the gas valve, pressure on the gas line, ignitor, control transformer, all kinds of crap. I would like to take a little time to offer my thanks to Rich, aka Rusty Cuda who gave me some ideas and directions to check out.
Sure is easy to take warmth for granted. As a bonus all this snow is going to make the elk hunt all that much harder 8(
