Hey guys, I have asked a similar question in another thread but thought I would ask it here specifically as well. I want to run spring relocators on my 70 cuda and already have superstock springs (not sure which ones though, were on the car when I bought it). Chryco already filled me in on the fact that you can just buy the relocators from Mopar but I was wondering which setup I should go with. The two different part numbers are P4120078 for offset rear spring front hangers but it says I would also need offset shakles #p4120076 and would need to move the spring seat (what does this mean)? Would I also then need A body superstock springs instead of my ebody ones ( I read this in another thread)?
The other option is part # p4120665ab, the spring relocation kit which it says moves the spring in 3' on each side, mounts longitudinally, requires welding and includes the shackles, front hangers, rear shackle mounts and sring mounting seats. Seems like a pretty complete kit but don't know if I want to cut and weld.
My question is is one setup better than another, or who has used which kit and how did they like it? Any other items I will need with either kit (besides wider wheels)? Any other things to consider before I buy ( I am leaning towards the bolt in kit)? What do you guys think? Thanks, Tyler
