I was ready to change the oil on my son's 07 Charger until I looked under the front end. First, I couldn't find any area to use my floor jack on safely. Then my car ramps were too high to clear the front lower bumper panel.
And then comes the next obstacle: the huge plastic cover that hides the oil pan and filter. What's the deal with these new cars? Makes me really, really appreciate my F150. Did I say that?!
So for me to do an oil change on this car, I would have to buy some low profile car ramps. I would rather spend the $12 difference between DIY ($22) vs paying someone else ($34). Not to mention the cost of new car ramps. Some things just aren't worth it IMO.
I surrendered to defeat
and told my son to go to the dealership for a $34 oil change.
