Well, depending on price, what would you do?

One of the local ones just sold, and I found out the other one is being sold by the local shiester.  :misbehaving:

if the price is right, id buy it.
then id fix it, put it on my car and do a big stinky burnout. then id go driving around for a while, return home and drink lotsa beer.
you asked, i just told ya.   :2thumbs:

Landed an LD4B for $115 today. It needs cleaning but otherwise good.

weld the holes shut and re drill em. is that what your asking?

I would go the opposite way, get key-inserts .  You'll have to drill the holes larger and tap for the insert, but these are as strong as they come.  I have an LD340 intake I have to do this to, they drilled/tapped it for 3/8-16 after they stripped the original 5/16 holes.  Thankfully my LD4B intake is fine.

Good idea.

I'll be posting on how to clean up oxidized aluminum in preparation for paint next.  :swaying:

I had to do this to mine as well.  One year no issues or leaks.

I don't think that will work for mine as the mounting boss is already stress-cracked.  The added stress of re-tapping without welding would likely blow out the entire boss.

I am sticking with Carter or Edelbrock. Would I be better off with a 500 or 600?

I am not sure if Carter made a 550 or in between CFM carb.
