That happened at our family farm too My great Grandfather built a barn and it burned down too. Wiring issues and mice.

I agree with those above. I am glad no one was hurt. It is a bummer about the stuff that was lost, but it can be replaced...    :2thumbs:

:sadwavey: Just glad you and your family are OK, and it's great to hear how the community is rallying around to help in the immediate time. Thankfully the house was spared and the other out buildings you mentioned. But sad this happened. Whenever I see a burned out building especially a house it makes me think of the families that may have lived there in the past, their memories and events they shared there together, a home is a family. That old barn I'm sure also touches you similiarly, what it represented in your life and how it served the family too.  Hopefully the insurace will not delay the processing of payment, and it's good your dad and you have the ability to rebuild yourself, that obviously will lessen the final cost. Good luck.  :2thumbs:

Damn,  that looks like a John Deere "G" tractor.  I hate to see that happen.  Sorry for your loss.  Glad the family's okay.

Glad you and the family are OK, too bad about the barn and the contents, both living and mechanical.
Sorry for your loss. Glad to see the fire did not spread beyond the barn.
I think the JD would probably start up with a few new wires... :roflsmiley:

The only positive thing that I can think of is that you or your family were not inside there.  Being a volunteer fireman, that had to be one hell of a fire to attack.  Old, dried wood like that and all of the hay that must have been in there just added to the inferno.  Sorry for your loss but like I said before, at least your family was not in there.
