Nice, mice freak many people out.  We had a couple and they were the most sociable and smartest pets you'd ever want.

She's a rat, but yeah, I wouldn't think a rat could have a personality but 'cuda really does, my son is rat sitting for his aunt and that rat is a polar opposite, outgoing, brave, and licks like a dog

Speaking of dogs, my dog is a certified rat killer, and he doesn't quite know how to handle a pet rat, he hasn't tried to attack them, but he is always ready to if they get out of line :smilielol:

:smilielol:     I got cockateil birds. One is so old, he just runs out of energy as he is flying and falls down. I have to walk over and pick him up and take him back to his cage. He is close to 20 yrs old.

My son has been after us for a pet rat or some other rodent for the past few months.  I explained to him as nicely as possible that we have two Rat Terriers.  They named that breed that way for a reason.  I then asked him, why do you think the dogs are so obsessive about their squeaky toys?  Have you ever squeezed a rat?  Guess what sound they make?   He was mortified and failed to see the humor in it...
