ROOF SKIN COMMENT I NEED INFO ON!

I was about to order a roof skin from TAMRAZ and wanted to know if the comment I got back was true.

"Hi Goodmark is just a imported. Their is only one supplier stamping the roof skins and they are all made overseas and imported by companies like Goodmark. No matter where you decide to get the roof skin from you will be getting the same panel.

I'm not a 100% on this, but from what I recall both Goodmark and AMD are made out of Taiwan.

I JUST HAD A TRUNK FLOOR INSTALLED PURCHASED FROM AMD. NEXT IS THE ROOF SKIN.WILL LET YOU KNOW.THE TRUNK FLOOR FIT LIKE A GLOVE !

I found a skin from them for alot less then I have found it anywhere else and I want to get it but dont' want to get stuck with a poor skin. So I asked who the manufacturer was and this was the reply when I said I wanted a goodmark or AMD.

They offered me $369.95 for the roof skin 169.79 for shipping.

Should I be worried or go for it?

All the stamped parts are made oversea's, even the stuff from AMD and Goodmark. Usually, they make the parts and then it goes out to distributors such as TAMRAZ.
We put one of the B-body ones on a 69 Coronet. Good stuff

on the challenger ONLY AMD and Goodmark do make a roof skin, I have only sold the AMD and have heard of NO issues. they are all stamped over seas.

if you want I can get you the amd roof for $ 479.00 plus actual freight. I quoted you 510.00 +131.00 for frieght a while back. I do have these in stock from AMD.

AMD and Goodmark are not the same parts.  AMD has all of their own tooling.  I don't know why any dealer would represent the panels as the same.   

I talk with the AMD guys daily and understand their business and know that they have their own tooling.  Look at this forum at the comparison pictures.  Every Goodmark panel that I have seen always has different tooling marks than the AMD panels.

I bought the new AMD roof skin almost 2 years ago when they first came out. $599 at the time plus shipping. I know nothing about the goodmark stuff, but i can tell you that the AMD fit almost perfect. It was a great investment.
