10" wide Rallye wheel trim rings

I posted over in Moparts also.  I want to run 295/50 tires on the back and put them on Rallye wheels.  Problem being that I can see is no one is making trim rings truely wide enough to fit the 8" rims, let alone the 10" ones.  How do these rims look using the existing rings?  How do they look without rings?  Why doesn't someone make a wider set?  Questions, Questions!!

I just bought a set of 15x10's today.  I am told the 15x7 rings fit good and you really dont notice it

It all depends on your wheel offset (back spacing).  On 4 1/2" offset, you will have a small gap, about 3/4" with the trim rings.  Here is a picture of 15x10 with an stock offset.



I can snap a picture of an 15x8 with 4 1/2" inch offset, with a trim ring so you can see the gap, if you want.

I don't think you need too.  I think the 8" rims look good with the 7 " rings.  I was wondering if the 10" wheels looked goofy.

Okay, Okay, You've broken me down.  I have a 70 Roadrunner, not an E body!!  But this is too good of a forum to stay away!!!  I think I have a small amount of extra room down there but don't have any good comparison.

I was thinking that a 295 on an 8" was a stretch, literally!  Would not the tire tend to do a little rolling during hard cornering?
What size are the tires and rims in your sig?  Sweet stance!

Well, you could install a 67 b body rear end in your 70, that gives you an inch, then a 1 inch spring location on top of that.  On my car I run 275x60x15's on the back with either 7 or 8 inch rims, I have used them both. 7 inch on there now. I am doing a   b body dana with a relocation kit. 10 rims will let me run a bigger tire for some better 60' times and better ET's.
