For being only four years old he evidently had a thought out plan to see dad on Christmas, and getting a can of beer out of the fridge is as easy as a can of pop. The dress part sounds weird, I guess the beer kicked in and his thought process went south. Stealing a dress dosen't mean ya have to wear it too.
All that part is funny, but all the other considerations and conditions of his home life................just plain sad.
