Challenger Reverse Light Wiring

Hello,

Can someone help me with the wiring for the reverse light in the dash?  I have a 4sp manual and just got the light (the original was missing altogether) and of course there are no instructions.  I'm not sure where the wire should go to and any help is much appreciated.

the wires that run to the neutral switch come up and plug into the bulk head on to the fire wall and there is a black wire with a white stripe.I believe its that one,when I found my wiring to the neutral switch the end that plugged in to the bulk head had an extra wire black/white that had a plug on the end and I plugged mine in there,,here is a web site with wiring diagrams

should be white with black on the dash side to tap into. or if you dont want tsplice into their. just go to the rear harness connector and you will see the white then goes to purple wire in the rear harness

the way the factory did it was to run through a seperate grommet above the gas pedal , the reverse harness plugs into the bulkhead & goes down to the tranny but there was a seperate pigtail at the bulkhead connector to plug into

yes that is how I did mine

Thanks!  Do you know if this interior reverse light wire is the same one for the rear reverse lights? I have a 4 speed manaul and naturally, these lights do not come on when I put the car in reverse.

They should....Check your reverse switch and the wiring to it.

and check your linkage to make sure its in reverse properly
