Pistol Grip Auto?

Both my Mopars are pistol grip 4 speeds but a guy at a show a while back had a '71 pistiol grip auto, he swore it was original but I've never heard of it. it did look like it could have been, maybe a dealer add on ?

Smoke was coming out his but....... like the 440 hemi and 72 hemi e body :2thumbs:

  Many modifications would have been done over the last 38 + years, if the owner at the time took some pride in his ride he may have adapted a manual shift handle to look original.   :2thumbs:

Thee are many choices currently available to do this but the factory never offered it

Don't know how long ago the first one came out, but definitely aftermarket.
Quapman sells one called the 'AutoGrip'
