I like to know: How good does a Richmond transmission fit the Barracuda? Does it clear the torsionbar support frame?
Will the shifer possition, be the same plase as an orginal 4 speed?

I talked to Richmond, unfortunatly the Super streed 5 speed dosen't fit very good, the frame for the torsionsbars has to be cut, and I need to make a foundation for the transmission support, I will not modify my car that much!

I read that some people get their Tremac modified to Shift at higher RPM I think the company was Pro-Motion in FL.
Have anybody tried that? or heard more about that?

I know this thread asks about Tremec five speeds, but I was kind of surprised no one suggested a stock 18 spline 833 with a Gear Vendors gear splitter for overdrive.  This is the setup I plan to run in my Roadrunner and might even add one to my small block Barracuda if I decide I need steeper gears in my 8 3/4.  Any experience with this option, pluses or minuses?

thanks, Jim
