A couple hours hunting
« on: December 26, 2009 - 06:11:11 PM »
I drove to a nearby town on the promise of finding a 70 Coronet-white with green top and interior. I did not find it but ran across a cool guy with a 70 Challenger. I did not have my camera or I would have taken a few pics. The guys name is Santos and he bought the car new in March of 1970. He was in the military and used it as transportation. It is a B5 318 car with a 3 speed manual transmission. We talked for a while and he showed me what his plans were for bringing the car back to life. Was neat to find an original owner. Did not find the car I was looking for but found a new Mopar friend.
I turned him onto this site and he seemed interested since he is working to get the car roadworthy again. I hope he shows up. When I got home I noticed that my rimblow steering wheel showed up. It will need to be restored but for 140 bucks with shipping I think its an alright deal.

Thanks Ken. There are lots to choose from but I am pretty sure the 1970 SuperBee is my favorite B body of all time. I think Santos will sign up, he seems like he would fit right in here.

:iagree: Brett, the 70 Super Bee is my pick also, infact my favourite color combo on a 70 Super Bee would be a White Bee with Red Interior and a Black Vinyl Top with a Red C-stripe  :2thumbs:

Hey guys, while were on the subject, I am wondering where I will be able to get the funky snorkle hood. Do they repop that by any chance?
