Radiator Hoses
« on: December 28, 2009 - 08:16:28 PM »
Help -

I need the part numbers for the upper and lower radiator hoses used on a 1970 challenger 440 six pack with a 26 inch radiator.  YearOne has the "upper" identified as a p/n 2863257 - but cannot locate the lower.  Is there a better place to get these that Yearone?  They want 55.95 for the upper.

Thanks - Dan

I just get them from my local auto parts store, and they are usually a fair amount cheaper for the pair than that price.

Thanks  - Napa has both, but I would like to get the part numbers on them since I am doing a numbers matching car.  Thats interesting about Year Ones ommision of the penstar.  Need to research this a little more before ordering.

i ordered lower hose for a 70b or 71 b/e from year one for my 70 e-body with bb and 26",and it fits like a glove with penta star and pn.maybe not the right pn for 70 though, dont know.the hose is VERY thin, maybe they where thin originaly from the factory in 70,dont know that either.im never ever going to buy corbin clamps again from year one,as they dont seem to care what size clamps you order,i guess a blindfolded ch....e guy packs them. ah,now it feels a bit better.well i got me the right clamps from tom rt and mounted them on the hose and me and my hose lived happy ever after.do you live in usa,try frank badalson,i bet he has hoses and can manage to send within the us of a.

Try Bill Alphin of A&M high tech auto.  He has the correct ones with the part number and pentastar stampings.

radiator hoses are still available from the dealer, the standard 26 hose set is 31.00, a bit more for the inked mopar oe hoses.
