That is horrible and I hope everthing works out for him. That is one of my biggest fears while working on my cars by myself and is why I ALWAYS SHAKE THE LIVING HELL OUT OF THE CAR BEFORE GETTING UNDER IT I will even make anyone who wants to do any undercar repair in my driveway, or even just to have a look, use a jackstand and shake the car

Worst news for any person who needs their hands to work, pray for the skill of the surgeon and for his family who will be putting on a brave face to encourage him also.   :angelwings:

:sadwavey: Ken sorry to hear such news. Losing any use or mobility of any part of a working mans body would be hard to accept. Hopefully it will be as marginal as possible, he is going to need a lot of support, but he has one of the best brother in laws around. Hope for a successful recovery.  :2thumbs:

Here is to a speedy recovery. Spend time with him, and try to find something to keep him occupied while he recovers. When I recovered from my heel shattered be at home all day, everyday while the kids were at school, and the wife at worked made for some long boring days. Back in 96 I did not have the Internet, be even surfing the web will get old. Try to get him out of the house and  go somewhere, a show, movie, fishing, hiking, something at least every few weeks. Most important do not treat him different, he is still the same person .

Oh man, what a terrible thing to happen.

Please tell me he has good health coverage at least?  They can do amazing things these days but its costly.

Just be there for him best you can. And we will all be praying/sending positive vibes for him....and please keep us updated as to his progress.
