Firing order question

  What's the firing order of the B383 motor? I replaced my spark plugs and wires last week and I thought I hooked them all up right. I started the car today and it sounded and felt like it was missfiring on several cylinders and then sputtered and died. Keep in mind, the car ran fine before I switched the wires.

I'm also trying to figure out how to adjust the carb (I've always had EFI systems.) It's an Edelbrock Performer Endurashine 600cfm. The two screws on the front are the only ones I can find to adjust.

600 carb is kinda small but you should get good throttle response but will suffer on top end.

I found these markings on the carb...

-----------front: 1411 2056
------driver side: Weber
--driver side top: 8867
--electric choke: 1718

Which ones tell me what size it is?

(edit: I searched the Edelbrock site for some of the casting numbers. 1411 brought me to the performer series 750 cfm with an electric choke. I guess I answered my own question. Thanks guys.)

Semi-related question:  What was the firing order for the 426 Race Hemi (18726543 perhaps)?

I've heard it was different to reduce main bearing shock (same reason the Ford 302 and the 351 having different firing orders)

That was a ford only thing, Chrysler did make a set of two gears and no idler gear that turned the camshaft backwards, making the firing order the same direction as a small block. But still 18436572
