This has to be 2nd you know, I bought my 68 D100 truck.  :bigshades:

Bad:
My father just broke his wrist a few days ago.

Best in 2009 was when I got the Cuda home after a long journey.I acted like a child during Christmas

And the worst was when i have to move to another garage. The new place was fine I bought a Four post lift so I could work on the Cuda properly. Not long after I had everything in order, the landlord told us to move out, because they should tear down the garage and put a new building there. :faint:
Now a have a new place to keep the cars, but the lift don't fit.

2009 Carlisle was my high for the year, meeting everyone I could and enjoying the relazation. Also Opening up M.S.E. Just getting started, but it will be my source for retirement.

Having a stroke, getting poisoned by chemicals 3 or more times, having to pay state income taxes in 25 plus states this year, and dealing with my dads medical issues, are the bummers of 2009.

Overall, besides my parents health issues, it seems that every week last year I was blessed with some kind of happiness.

Good idea Kenny!
Positives,  I got my Challenger home last Jan or Feb ( can't quite remember) :woo:
The highlight of my summer was Carlisle. I was blessed to meet a lot of great people whom I hope become lifelong friends! Amazing how much fun one can have just hanging out in the back of a motel parking lot! Don's drag strip career still makes me smile! :) I wish Carlisle was on for a week instead of a weekend!
Neil, Alan,Kenny,Tom,Don, Jason, Mike, and many more, just to name a few!
I started my own business and love it! (Just have to be patient on building it income wise,a lot of money outlaid)

Negatives, Like so many other people my job situation was a struggle. It sure is hard on a man not having a job. Stupid but we tend to tie our self worth to a job.
The wife still has me in the dog house for buying the Challenger. ::)
I'm sure someone is thinking OK what kind of idiot buys a car without a job, but everything looked good and I got laid off 2 weeks after I bought it off E-bay. Almost 200 of us "got it" that week!  :scared:
This economy wasn't all bad though, it seemed to make you focus on what's REALLY important! Family and friends! :2thumbs: ...cool car doesn't hurt either

I did this before.... and it didn't post...  :eek7:  So what the heck here goes again.

Good - took a few great trips in '09. MATS being one of them, meet some great C-C members too! Friends  kept me in there minds... the HEMI parts .... the 68 Charger ... the 70 GTX. Without them that never would have happened. After 30+ years the wife found a doc who knew what was the problem.

Bad - siatica, thats been a ton of fun! Arthritis getting worse. Buisness slow down.  :pullinghair:

Overall I cant complain tho, had a truck load of blessings! Guess I've just been lucky.   :grinyes:
70 Chally R/T Convertible- Yes she's really got a HEMI, no she's not a Charger!

great ideas guys.

Good -  I got to see one of my best friends change his life by joining the Air Force and he loves is. We are pregnant with baby #2 and found out its a girl so our set is complete. Thanks to the help from a great friend (Alan) I have been enjoying a 4 speed transmission in my car. I got promoted to SSgt in June. Made many more GOOD friends here.

Bad - Money has been tighter this year than ever before. My wifes grandmother died early in the year. The Challenger has gotten more rust this year than ever before and now im gonna have to get patch panels  :walkaway: . The Chiefs have absolutely sucked this year. Last month I slipped a disc in my back and have been in pain since.

Hopefully this year is better than last...we will see!

Good: I finished my basement and it looks completely awesome.  Complete with full bar, pool table,  theatre room with 102' HDTV and enough space for my guitars. Then I got a new friend named Tobey (Chihuahua) and also I got to know my father a little after over 30 years of nothing.

Bad:  The hardtop is still not finished but I hope this year 2010 it will come together.

The Awesome:
-My wife and I are pregnant with our second child.
-I have met a number of great new people this past year through places like my local historical society, my son's school, action figure collecting club and this place.
-After 19 years of storage, a friendly neighbor helped me haul my dad's Challenger to my house and I've started minor work like ripping out the mouse infested interior.

The not so awesome:
-second year of being unemployed and the 401k is officially gone

In general, I'm a pretty positive person and am usually pretty good about rolling with the punches and have no regrets about the past, love living in the present and always look forward to the future. I wish you folks all the best in the new year as well.
-Jay, J.J., James, Jimmy Joe...I answer to all of them.

2009 was what I considered a personal worst ever in my own...but had lots of ups and downs.

good - early '09 got the Cuda back from paint and looked better than I could have hoped for.
bad - after getting car back and starting the rebuild, getting the news my father was very ill and dropped everything to see him. After a couple of painful months God called him home. September would have been his 50th birthday.
good - getting to my 3rd Carlisle, and having the best time - each time has it's own special moments. This time was good due to no mechanical problems or lack of gas ( yes, ran out on Turnpike once )
bad - like many others, work has been a struggle. Owners are great, but have had to cut hours down to 32 max. Honestly I would have sent myself home a long time ago, been pretty slow.
Good - Did complete the Cuda enough to drive it before the warm temps got away for good this season. It's 1st show she placed second in the modified Chrysler class.
And finally would say it ended on a pretty good stretch - My family is well, looks like my brother is buying his 1st home, typically the end of the year is the slowest for work and we didn't get any slower and got to spend the holidays with friends and family.

Here is to 2010 - got to be better, right

Came home from Iraq.  Lost that Job after getting back here to the usa.  Meet my wife.  Got a new job with the same company.  Got married the 4th of July.  Got started on my garage.  Got my shed moved.  Got a drive way now and most all of my garage done.  Got my car and tools to my garage now.  Lost my job and looking for another one.
Found out I am going to be grandpa again.  My Step son got married again.  So a lot of highs and lows for the year.  Will see how this new one takes off starting monday.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

Good news was:
Got my Hemi stroker short block back. Now it just needs the heads finished and I can put everything together. I bought all the other stuff over the last few years.
Got a free fishing boat that runs good.
A went well job interview last week as a sales estimator for access control systems.
Started a job as a lien sales rep.

Bad news was:
Harness company I worked for in May let me go. They weren't a good company anyway.
Lien sales company decided to eliminate having a rep and just have existing accounts fax in their requests for liens. So I got laid off. Still unemployed. The competition was having them lose accounts since they were higher priced. 56 bucks a lien vs. 17 bucks a lien by the main competitor.
