Just a spring day
« on: January 02, 2010 - 09:39:19 AM »
Well it's our first time this year.          We hit -30 last night and our high today is supposed to be -14. Just another spring day in paradise!  I think I'll put another log on the fire and just snuggle up for the day. Would someone down south please send a warm front up our way?

Burrrrrrrr  :eek7:
It's changed here from around the freezing mark yesterday to -20 today. I hear ya on putting another log on the fire! Me too I have the wood stove just a rockin!
The only good thing about this temperature is I can let the dog out to do his business and he doesn't run away so I do not have to worry about putting him on his chain! :smilielol:
I have a bunch of new parts to put on the Challenger but my hands stick to the tools in this temperature :stomp:

Bigs I have no Idea how you guys even walk outside at -0s.   I can only remember -somethins once & the suspension on our minivan did not work...surprised it even started..
My Grandmother used to refer to oppressive heat as only "Mad Dogs and Englishmen" would go out in it.
So I suppose this cold is for "Mad Dogs and Canadians"

Wade back in the early days of the yard we used to pull tranny's outside in this weather. Granted I never did quite understand why the grandparents moved to UP MICH from 'BAMA but you do what you gotta do. What ever don't kill ya makes ya stronger!

I just shoveled out two inches of snow in the driveway. The temp is 16 and the wind chill is -10. I guess there is a heat wave here in Pittsburgh.  :stomp:

It wuz pretty nice out here yesterday. I'm waiting for the sun to get up higher.Might...Er...      Gonna' fire her up! If I can get out to the pavement...I'm GONE!
Been around 20* so it's t shirt weather.  Got propane... dust will fly on the Demon.
Oh yeah... I got some really nice long underware too. My next job is outside, New windows/doors for the dude next door. YaY...    NOT!   But it ensures paint for the Charger and Duster. I've told all my friends that IF we have the time... The 'cuda will get a scuff n' shoot in spring too.  That would really make my year. I'm tired of sanding on their cars.  But I love to sand. :screwy:  Keeps you warm too.

So... In about 45 minutes I'll be wishin I'd left the heater in the 'cuda.  :roflsmiley:

Been there done that! :smilielol: It wasn't so bad as you could pile snow all around the sides of the car and get some shelter from the wind. On a positive note rarely did you break a sweat! :smilielol: And what ever tranny fluid spilled you just shoveled it up and threw it into the ditch! :2thumbs:
Ah you southern boys are soft! :stirpot: :poopoke: :smilielol:
