Got some time in today, got the canopy back up, untarpped the 73 & started in on the bubbles on the hood, when I wire wheeled it of only found a couple a pinholes, yet I had a few bubbles over what appear to be simple dings, the worst area(that i had cut open) was pretty thin. So I put a weld on every ding............

Next chance I get I'll flood the guts with por 15 again, this time I'll stand the hood up & fill it solid if thats what it takes! Was hoping to epoxy prime the skin & flood the back tomorrow, but something has come up, so it will have to wait awile.
Oh yea I clear coated that steering box, a little disapointed, lost its shine, kinda motly lookin, but heck it was fun while it lasted!  :dontknow: Rich.

Thanks for the place to share, a word to the wise here is needed though, for those taking notes, I am an amature, trying to work with the info I have compiled over the last 3 "cuda" years, some of what i do i just make up as I go along(kinda something that just seems to make sense but may or may not be the best way(or even the correct way) to go about something) & remember, IT always looks better in the pics! :(
When I'm done I'm gonna buy another camera & wear one on each eye so I can really appreciate the 5 or so years of work I put in her!  ;D Rich.

Next evening I got the second batch laid out & since standing at the bench was killin my ole back :ack: I took some breaks out buy the car, ;) tapped out the nuts for the steering box & got that mounted, kinda lost its shine after I metal washed it, but it at least looks clean! :dontknow: Gonna go against the grain & leave all nuts & bolts showing, anodized ones will be cleared, all the old ones I cleaned up will probably go black, kinda wanna set them off, I like those kind of details even though ma painted over anything that got in her way(or cheaper to paint assembled cars! :outtahere:  )Any way got one hood hinge mounted too, but broke a bolt on the other, was trying to clean out the thereads(lacking a tap that size) got it drilled out, waiting for a fellow mopar nut to set me up with a set of taps(did I say mopar people are the best ;) )
well here it is, nice contrast to all the body color! Rich.

Is it the same for you "shiny cuda", that when you done a job on some part you are not that happy with it,but when you let it grow on you, well it didn`t turn out that bad?
