Tried some adhisive on one lifted area on the old pad & it seemed to hold well, so I glued down the rest tonight, still choping foam off the back to try & get the vent area right , closer but not there yet!

got my leaf springs in also, need to locate the 5/8's bolts & nuts for the front hangers so maybe I'll find some foam for the dash in the same hardware hunt!
was a little supprised at the point of oragin(or should I have been???)
Anyway, one leaf beefier than my old ones(318 car) with smaller front loops & bushings?
What will that do?
also a guestion, which part # is the drivers side? Not sure when I'll have everthing ready to mount, but soon is the word(well after 5 years even another year is soon!!!)  :naughty: Rich.

Rich, I just got mine installed, P/N ending in 55 is left and I just guessed on the right side.  :eek7:  The beefier one goes on the passenger side. Did you get poly bushings or are you going with the rubber ones? You can press out the bushing that came in the SS spring and easily press in the poly bushings. The point of orgin is pretty typical any more. Still look like quality parts, just cheap labor to put em together.

K in between service calls today I hunted down some foam for the dash & bolts for the front leaf spring hanger, dealership was usless in supplying the bolts but one of the guys told me of an industrial supply that might have em, they did, 2 sets with nuts 9 &  change (set for the other car too) not exactly the same but upgraded to grade 8 so they should do fine!

Hey Rich, you could make a horror movie out of that one, " It Came From The Dash Board"  :22yikes:
Should be able to cut it off after it dries good. I'm anxious to see how this goes, we sure can all learn from it.

After cutting the excess foam off I had to do a second coat on some areas but it dries pretty quick and is easy to work with, keep at it!

trimmed down the new foam & ground off as much old foam as I dared to make the vents line up better, those bolts are not gonna be any easier(they were hard to get to as it was) cleaned it up as best I could...........

Got the vent areas pretty close, but those bolts which are no fun to begin with are gonna be tougher, worst areas were the curved corners & the vin plate areas, corners I suppose I could slice & glue in tight if I have to, right now I'm hoping either the trim will cover or they won't be showing? :eek4:

worst areas were around the vin & down in the vent grooves where the new cap don't cover!
