What is the top-coat?  It looks like zinc in the photo.

Hey Rich, how hard would it be to go back through this and ad pictures that got deleted? I was wanting to see some of the panel work pics and they are all gone. If you can't that's okay but just thought it would be nice to see this whole thread complete with pics.

I'm not sure I should, seems every so often they clean up to save space??? if the powers that be approve, I can do, might take some time though I have to resize all of em to fit(I delete the small versions after I post to save space here!)  :dunno: Rich.

Oh yea I sealed that tank today(inside) my sending unit is trash, another item to add to the buy list! Put up the brackets for the head liner & messed with the doors a bit, took me an hour to figger out how the bracket/armrest/door pull & pannel go on, only to find you have to build it on the door panel to install the bracket! so it's all back in the boxes for a while, door panel is not ready & I don't have the window gear in yet!
hmmmm what to putz with tomorrow? Rich.

Re edit the edit,  Plum, I have a metal working tape I got from eastwood, be glad to loan it to you if you want, shoot me a PM, Rich.

Day off huh!  :naughty:  musta been bored, but thanks for braving it!
Now that I'm trying to put it back together I'm kinda missing the body work, I have no idea how half this stuff goes, every thing I try & put together seems to need a part purchased & I'm short on cash , so I keep moving around, but not much is getting done!  :bricks1: Rich.

Ok, been on a push to get the eng & tranny dropped in before the winter, not much to post up  about that, got some parts in, ordered a few more gonna have a few guys over sat to knock off some serious work, I hope!
Anyway pass & quarter window glass is placed in, wiring harness's (?) are soaking in soapy in soapy water as we speak, so in some of the spare minuets I could scrounge up I played with the headlight benzels, somehow I ended up with 3 left & one right, the right is decent so I have to match it to the best results on the left one.
First a repair on the screw holes done with epoxy, don't know if it will hold up, but crome on this one is driver quality, painted the black with  semi gloss blk.
you can see the repairs, but I don't know how much they will show after screws are in?

Second one had bad chrome, so I tried some aluminum blast or metalics paint on that part(forgot which I used) :clueless:
Anyway, first the crome, then with gloss black on the rest!

Did this with gloss rustolium, hard to see in the pic but probably too glossy, you can see the repairs, I suppose I could fill em if I decide to use this one!
