Well finally got a break from work & shot some more primer on the pass side line this mourning, went out & sanded for a few more hours this evening, I'm gettin close, so hard to tell looks good from one angle, gives me doubt from another, any tricks to getting these lines nice & crispy? Rich.

You're living proof that the old saying "where there's a will, there's a way" is 100% true. Keep it up Rusty, we'll see paint on it (again) soon. Thanks for keeping us up to date.

Sanded off the rest of the tail pannel, that was fun (NOT) but it's ready for a try with the real orangasol paint, hope I don't mess that up. It was too hot & sticky out there so I fired up the a/c in the garage & moved inside. I finally shot the back of that fender I redid the brace on, it's ready for it's (I hope) final install, realign everything & make the last few chip repairs, getting closer to that fall reshoot! ;D

Last but not least I shot my 9.99 valve covers , not bad for a low budget dress up, now I need to come up with those snap on plastic wire holders.
Still have an issue with that 71 door, no place to bolt the 73 up stops, guess I'll post over in tech to see what a 71 used???  At least some stuff got done in the last few weeks!  ;D Rich.

Was a little cooler today so I braved the sun for a little while to get the valve covers on, sanded out most of the passenger side line(shady side) :naughty:

Went from rusty to dirty on the air cleaners, just wanted to see it with the callouts, not too much more to do in the bay, clean up the wires on the drivers side, get the wiper motor & workings in , still need the proper nipple for the heater hose to manifold & last & the most difficult (to get that is) the fan shroud!

Got a little help from a couple of jersey mopar nuts, thanks 340 Bros (Mr & Greg)  for braving the heat & treckin over here!
We finally got the drivers door glass in, just had to reverse the plastic stops on the glass for the 71 door, put in the kick down linkage, just short a couple of brackets. reset my distributor (I had the vaccumn advance 180* out)  ::)  Hey it ran good! ;)
let the bros play with my paint gun & shot what i hope is the final coat of primer on the hood, block that out then hopefully I can paint the underdside  & get it mounted & adjusted, one more step closer to the fall paint shoot!
Thanks guys, it was fun even though it was hotter than hell!  :faint: Rich.

tested out some sem products on the rear bumper filler, adheshion promoter, prime & paint, kind of an argent color(just off the shelf at the paint shop) close enough to the original gray I think? Rich.

It's shinny now, after pickin 20 bugs outta the first coat the second coat went better, seems I got most of emersons knats on the first. one run in the center but that will be under the pad! Yea, I catch a little break!
Now I can put her back together, work on a few more chips & I should be ready to shoot the whole outside!  :bananasmi Rich.
